Marsala Pantone Color of the Year Challenge

39.5 inches x 37.5 inches

And here it is just in the nick of time. Between the baby crying and the bad internet at the RV park I'm amazed I got it done and was able to load any pics at all. But alas it must be time for the old folks to go to bed because the internet has improved considerably in the last few minutes.

I'm pretty happy with the results and am excited to get the backing and quilting done. This is my first finish of 2015 and my first finish in the RV so that is a accomplishment in itself.

And a few more pics for the heck of it.

  1. I really like the design with the cascading hexagons, and love the pieced stripes in the center.

  2. Oh wow, I love the design of this quilt so much! The variation among the hexagons on the stripes is such a fun touch of interest, and the colors definitely highlight marsala! Extra bonus points for finishing it in an RV! My parents were in an RV full-time for a while, so I know how that adds a whole other level of difficulty. :)

  3. Thanks Anne. It was a fun one to figure out. And the challenge gave me a good push to really get some sewing done in the RV and see that I can do it.
